Teiknistofan Tröð and the owners are members of the Icelandic Association of Architects, the Norwegian Association of Architects and the SAMARK Association of Architects.
The owners of Teiknistofan Tröð are Hans-Olav Andersen architect FAÍ, MNAL and Sigríður Magnúsdóttir architect FAÍ, while Sigríður is the sole managing director of the company. Teiknistofan Tröð has operated continuously since 1990.

ISO 9001 QUALITY SYSTEM
Tröð Design Studio has established, documented and implemented a quality management system, maintains and works towards continuous improvement of it, in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard.
The company has done what is described here, to implement a quality management system:
- Identified and defined the processes necessary for the quality management system and its application.
- Determined the sequence and interaction of processes.
- Determined the criteria and methods needed to ensure that the operation and control of processes are effective.

On February 15, 2010, Teiknistofan Tröð received certification from Vottunar hf. that the company’s quality management system meets the requirements of the ÍST EN ISO 9001 standard. The certification covers design and consulting on architecture and planning
BIM BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING
For many years, the drawing office has designed buildings in three dimensions and used drawing programs to keep track of information about quantities, requirements, material selection and the construction of individual building components.
The office has extensive knowledge and experience in three-dimensional design and information modeling. The oldest work that was drawn entirely in 3D and information from the model was used in the creation of sections, layouts and quantity take is an office building at Efstaleiti 5
BIM is a methodology where each professional field (Architects, Structural, Plumbing and Electrical) builds electronic 3D models that meet the requirements of the IFC standard. Special programs assemble the professional models and perform collision tests, check energy consumption and more before the building is even built.

GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL ICELAND
Teiknistofan Tröð is a member of Green Building Council Iceland. Green Buildings is a collaborative platform for the ecological development of the built environment in Iceland.
The goal of Green Buildings is to encourage continuous improvement in the spirit of sustainable development in civil engineering and planning, thereby contributing to the nation’s ability to live in healthy and good living conditions in an ecologically sustainable built environment in the future.
NORDIC BUILT
Teiknistofan Tröð signed the Nordic Built charter. Nordic Built was a new sustainability charter for civil engineering in the Nordic countries. The goal was to mobilize key players in the Icelandic construction market to join forces to promote sustainable development in civil engineering in the Nordic countries. Nordic Built was established at the initiative of the Nordic Council of Ministers in connection with the formulation of a new policy for cooperation in industrial and innovation matters with an emphasis on green economic growth.

NAL-ECOBOX
Teiknistofan Tröð has taken the Ecobox startpakke course. NAL – Ecobox is part of the Norwegian Association of Architects, Norske arkitekters landsforbund. Its role is to promote increased environmental knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration among architects, planners and other parties in the construction sector. The Ecobox Startpakke course for architectural firms covers the main topics of eco-friendly and sustainable design with an emphasis on energy and material consumption. It covers energy measures in planning, new energy regulations, methods for interdisciplinary collaboration and relevant digital tools.

The processing of personal data is subject to the Personal Data Protection Act as amended at any time. The Act covers, among other things, the processing, storage and dissemination of personal data.

Teiknistofan Tröð is responsible for personal information provided to the company, its registration and processing, either as a controller or processor of personal information.
COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
Teiknistofan Tröð collects and processes information about customers, partners, suppliers and their contacts, which the company is obliged to preserve in accordance with laws, regulations, agreements and to meet the requirements of the ISO-9001 standard, in addition to information about job applicants. Personal information that is collected and processed includes name, social security number, email address, telephone number and job title as well as communication history via email. Personal information is preferably retrieved directly from the relevant party, or from third parties, e.g. National Registry, telephone directory, websites and customer service providers. If necessary, information is retrieved from Credit Info, authorities and courts. Job applicants give their consent to the processing and storage of applications by sending Teiknistofan Tröð a job application. The purpose of processing is to assess suitability and contact the applicant. The applicant may at any time request that their data be deleted.
Teiknistofan Tröð only collects personal information that is necessary to provide the appropriate service at any time. Sensitive personal information is neither collected nor processed in any way.
Teiknistofan Tröð has established and maintains a certified quality system ISO-9001. Evaluation of customers, partners and suppliers is one aspect of the quality system and is intended to ensure their suitability for the projects that Teiknistofan Tröð works on. Teiknistofan Tröð subjectively evaluates the performance of customers, partners, suppliers and their contacts and stores the results of the evaluation on a closed, access-controlled website.
If an individual chooses not to provide the requested information, it may result in the inability to provide the requested service.
Teiknistofan Tröð does not use any electronic cookies or software of any kind to collect traceable information through the website.
DISSEMINATE
Teiknistofan Tröð only uses personal information for the purpose for which it was collected and does not sell personal information.
