the Salvation Army
Hjálpræðisherinn
The Salvation Army headquarters in Iceland is designed for a variety of activities and services to the public and the Salvation Army clients. It hosts meetings, various welfare services, catering operations, and the management of the Salvation Army in Iceland. The number of guests in the building varies greatly. The building’s meeting rooms are designed for mixed use as a restaurant and meeting room. The building has a large capacity and high ceilings in the main meeting rooms on the first floor. The ceiling height varies greatly due to the sloping roof surfaces that are reflected indoors. There is a large outdoor area next to the building where, among other things, children’s playgrounds and a vegetable garden are planned.
