A two-storey office building with a basement under part of the building. In the middle is a tall meeting room with skylights. Offices, meeting rooms and other service spaces are arranged around the hall on both floors. The building was designed to create a good working environment. Particular attention was paid to acoustics, a good atmosphere and comfortable lighting with the interaction of lighting design and daylight. The choice of materials for the exterior is characterized by horizontal zinc panels along with solid oak in the window surfaces. Inside, oak is used in the doors, floorboards and fittings.

Recognition from the Reykjavík Building Committee for outstanding design and completion of plans in 2000, for the house on the Efstaleiti 5.

“The outline of the building forms a strict box-shaped form, but the surfaces of all sides are broken in a free but at the same time very disciplined way. The designers use age-old methods based on space, light, color and texture to shape the building, both outside and inside. The appearance of the building has some classical characteristics in terms of proportions and form. These include the interaction of cylinders, boxes and cavities and the interaction of squares and rectangles. The overall layout and the detailed implementation of the basic shapes, appearance and choice of materials, seem simple and almost self-evident, but are in fact the result of design, which is only achieved with great intuition and maturity of the respective authors.”
